"Beauty and the Beast" Blu-ray Announced!!

The time has finally arrived. After losing track of my DVD version of the film, I am finally being rewarded with a reprint and what makes this even better is that it will be in the Blu-ray format! Interestingly, Disney had once had in mind to release "Beauty and the Beast" this past Valentine's day in 3-D. However, it would seem that they are looking for the best profit chance in that they will release this Blu-ray, re-release the film in 3-D, and then release a 3-D version on Blu-ray since 3-D seems to be all the rage.

Doesn't matter to me, I love "Beauty and the Beast" (Disney's version anyways). The story is wonderful, the character voices are perfect and the music is absolutely splendid. Paige O'Hara has a fantastic voice for the sensual yet strong Belle and the music by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman draws you in and won't let you go. Not to mention you may very well be singing the songs after the viewing.

The magical date is October 5th, 2010 and I can guarantee you that I will be first in line to receive my copy.
